Collection of Jewellery from I800's thru mid 1900's.

a few extroadinary pieces, particularly for collectors and analysts of the timeframe are available. Body Copy : Latterly "Ice Originals II", a collectibles and antique internet site, had the pleasure of taking a little of a huge Long Island Estate that includes jewellery items from the 1800's thru the mid 1900's. Several of the pieces feature hand chasing and enamel, inlaid into the gold. One or two months gone I wrote an article named "Signed vs. Mens wedding bands. Not only does it help the collectibles market, in many different areas like unsigned jewellery, studio art pottery and original designs, who is to point out what that "unknown artist" or unsigned item will sometime be worth? Picasso received barely any recognition while alive, but after his passing, everyone knows where the costs went on his works, straight thru the roof. If you're a collector, this is the ideal time to start turning your purchasing trends towards unsigned items, or at the present, unknown makers. This way, you do not finish up spending money like water on an item that in 5 years may not be considered a good collectible investment. Remember the "Beanie Baby" craze? Well, now there are tons of people out there with mountains of "beanies" that they could have paid a tidy sum for, and I sure hope they adore them because that market is just about dead. When you glance at the items that you bought, ones that would presumably become not only valuable collectibles based mostly on the development of the artist during their making lifetime or at the least, loved heirlooms that are passed on in a family, this all starts to make lots of sense. If you purchase what appeals to you, you can never go bad. A few of these pieces pre-date the 1860's, and have been so thoroughly protected and stored that they seem to be in just about new condition. As claimed previously, this stuff are a part of a Manhattan Estate, passed down though a family, and only a little of this attractive collection has just been placed up on sale to the general public.

Laura Thykeson owns "Ice Originals II", a collectibles and antique web site, as well as being an artist, revealed poet, independent writer, and owner of 2 other web sites working with the humanities and collectibles locale.
